We recently presented Prince of Peace Lutheran Church School Backpack Program with a $1,300 check.

The Sno-Eagles have supported this program since 2018.

The money is raised from the 50/50 raffle at each Sno-Eagle membership meeting which is skillfully run by Kathy Rockafellow.  Our club members donate generously to this program even after having spent countless hours giving their time and talent to support the Sno-Eagles.

This monetary donation will be used to purchase food for students from pre-K through 6th grade in the Northland Pines School District. At this time the program supports more than 114 students. The Backpack program spent more than $20,000 to purchase food during the 2022-2023 school year. The need is expected to increase next year due to the escalating food prices.

According to Keith, the Sno-Eagles will continue its monetary support of this very needed cause.  He offered club member help in preparing the food packs for delivery to the schools. In addition, he hopes the club donation will grow year after year in order to help those less fortunate.
