We recently presented Prince of Peace Lutheran Church School Backpack Program with a $1,000 check.

The Sno-Eagles has supported this program since 2018 under the direction of Rusty Wolf.

The money is raised from the 50/50 raffle at each membership meeting which is skillfully run by Kathy Rockafellow.

This monetary donation will be used to purchase food for students in need at Eagle River Elementary School, Land O’Lakes School, and Phelps School. At this time the program supports more than 101 students. The Backpack program spent $23,500 to purchase food during the 2021-2022 school year. The need is expected to increase next year due to the escalating food prices.

According to Keith, the Sno-Eagles will continue its monetary support of this very needed cause.  He offered club member help in preparing the food packs for delivery to the schools. In addition, he hopes the club donation will grow year after year in order to help those less fortunate.
