The Sno-Eagles Snowmobile Club managed the food and beer sales for the Pond Hockey National Championships Feb. 7 – 9 on Dollar Lake. The Sno-Eagles sincerely thank all the members and friends who made this endeavor a success by contributing trailers, use of snowmobiles or UTVs, firewood, time, and talent for planning, set-up, grilling, preparing, serving, selling, and clean-up. It took almost 60 volunteers and more than 500 volunteer hours on the lake and countless hours of planning and preparation leading up to the event to carry out this very successful fundraiser for the club.

The Sno-Eagles also gratefully thank the following establishments who gave generous donations that contributed to this fundraiser: Trigs, World Championship Derby Complex, Veterans Resource Center, Eagle River Roasters, Ferrellgas, Eagle River Chamber of Commerce, and the Eagle River Fire Department. This truly was a community endeavor.

Until three years ago, the Eagle River Fire Department ran the concessions. When they decided to hand it over to another group, the Sno-Eagles volunteered to take it over to help cover the costs of maintaining and grooming safe, excellent trails. Many participants thanked the volunteers during the weekend saying that the event would not be the same without concessions on the ice.
