Tuesday, August 4, was the first Sno-Eagles Snowmobile Club Board of Directors meeting for the 2020-2021 season. During the meeting, the Sno-Eagles presented their outgoing Miss Sno-Eagle, Kortnie Volk, with a $1,000 scholarship check. The scholarship is possible because of generous donations from Boat S’Port Marina and the Best Western Derby Inn, each of which donated $500.

As Miss Sno-Eagle, Kortnie represented the Sno-Eagles at area events during the past year including the 2020 Badger State Games and the 2020 World Championship Snowmobile Derby.

Benefits of being Miss Sno-Eagle include active involvement in a community organization, a $1,000 Scholarship upon completion of Miss Sno-Eagle responsibilities, being featured on the Sno-Eagles trail map, professional photo shoot, professional hair and makeup session for the photo shoot, a custom embroidered snowmobile suit provided by Klim, participation in the World Championship Snowmobile Derby as a member of the Derby Queen’s court, and an opportunity to participate in the AWSC Miss Snowflake Pageant.

President Rusty Wolf thanked the Best Western Derby Inn, Boat S’Port Marina, Klim, Synergy Salon and Spa for hair and makeup, and T J Gaffney Photography for the professional photo shoot.

Kortnie graduated from Three Lakes High School in June and will attend UW-Milwaukee to study biology.
