Groom to Ride, a major fundraiser for local snowmobile clubs, has been launched. The event is sponsored by Trackside in Eagle River and co-sponsored by three area snowmobile clubs – Sno-Eagles of Eagle River, Sno-Buddies of Conover, and Northern Lights Snowmobile Club of Three Lakes.
First prize is a 2023 Ski-Doo 600 snowmobile donated by Trackside. Second prize is World Championship Snowmobile Derby tickets for 4 reserved indoor Hot Seats including admission and parking donated by the World Championship Derby Complex. Third prize is a 2-night stay at the Northernaire Resort in Three Lakes, dinner for two at SpiritView Lakeside Restaurant, and dinner for two at 32 South Bar and Grill. Fourth prize is a 2-night stay at Bauer’s Dam Resort plus a $100 gift card.
Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20 and are available at local restaurants, bars, resorts, marinas, businesses, and at the World Snowmobile Headquarters. The drawing will be held at Track Side in Eagle River on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 1 PM. The winner need not be present.
Having well-maintained snowmobile trails is critical to the local economy. Not all snowmobile trails receive state funding, and state funds do not cover all the costs of maintaining the funded trails. The clubs will use funds raised to maintain area snowmobile trails.
This event would not be possible without the support from Track Side, the World Championship Derby Complex, the Northernaire Resort, SpiritView Lakeside Restaurant, Bauer’s Dam Resort, and the local businesses that are promoting and selling the raffle tickets.
